In homage to one of HMNS’s founding fathers, Henry Philemon (H.P.) Attwater, whose exhibitions of native Texan flora and fauna formed the foundation of HMNS’s collection, we reimagined our donor society as the H.P. Attwater Society.
As a conservationist, H.P. Attwater was an ardent advocate for the protection and preservation of nature. As a champion scientific research and as an avid collector, he amassed thousands of artifacts and specimens during his lifetime. And as a curator and industrial agent for the Southern Pacific Railroad, he created colossal international exhibitions celebrating the great state of Texas.
Annual membership to HMNS’s H.P. Attwater Society consists of four tiers, each tier entitling donors to a variety of benefits across the Museum. Benefits include private tours, special members-only receptions, behind-the-scenes access, VIP concierge service, and so much more.
All proceeds benefit our Annual Fund, which supports operations within the Museum, advancing our mission of scientific outreach of the highest quality.

If paying through a Donor Advised Fund or private foundation, the Fair Market Value (FMV) must be paid separately. After FMV is applied, the remainder of your gift is tax deductible.
